| Assume you drive 15,000 miles per year,
you change your oil every 4000 miles, and pay $1.50 qt or oil and 3.50 for an oil filter. Each
change cost you $11.00 times 4 = $44.00 for the year. Assume you get 18 MPG which means
you use 833 gallons of fuel per year. At $ 2.799 a gallon it cost you $ 2331.57 for fuel for
the year. The total oil and gas cost to use your car with your current lubricants is $ 2375.57 for a year. |
